Finally sorrow found me
And I feel it’s cold embrace
Slowly descending into my soul
Freezing the sadness on my face

It feels like an eternal solitude
As if it has always been this way
This empty hole inside my chest
Growing bigger every day

Was it always here inside me
Listening to my pain and cry
This hurting loneliness within
As a silent companion till I die

And I can’t seem to remember
If I was ever loved or free
If the fading memories inside my head
Really ever did belong to me
